Choosing the right Marriage Celebrant that has the experience, professionalism, caring attitude and who is willing to craft a ceremony to express your love and incorporate your wishes will make your day so very memorable and enjoyable.A ceremony can be as relaxed and as much fun as you desire yet still possess that intimate touch or it can be simply beautiful and moving and quite traditional.
COMMITMENT
A commitment ceremony can be conducted in place of a marriage ceremony. There are no legalities involved other than the requirement that there is a statement to the effect of “This is a commitment ceremony not a marriage ceremony.”
Perhaps a couple may be planning to marry overseas but due to the inability of family and friends attending they may choose to have a commitment ceremony prior to their departure. This ceremony can be extremely personal and wonderfully enjoyable having an overall feeling of a wedding without the mandatory legal wording of the vows or the declaration that they are husband and wife.
RENEWAL OF VOWS
Renewing of vows is a lovely way of acknowledging the love and thankfulness that you share by still being an intricate part of each other’s life. This ceremony can create a story of your life from the beginning of your relationship weaving its way through marriage, children, grandchildren and can be as personal as you wish. This ceremony also has no legal requirement other than an inability to use any mandatory wording that was used in your original vows etc.
It may be the opportune time to reaffirm your vows on the day of your anniversary. Family and friends love to be a part of such a ceremony telling stories or conducting readings and it can be such an enjoyable time for everyone. The family home is quite often used as the ceremony venue, a local club or many of the indoor/outdoor wedding venues.
NAMING
The day that a new little life enters your world is another beautiful transition in your life. It is a huge responsibility to guide this little one throughout his/her journey and there are various people that will happily take an interest in the child and assist parents along the way. A Naming Day recognises family members, Godparents, Mentors or Guardians and it is a wonderful opportunity to involve those closest to the child.
Lovely readings, special rituals, beautiful personal words and visual effects all merge together to form a uniquely memorable day, significantly impacting for the blessing of the birth of a child. Whether there is only the one child or even four, Jean welcomes the opportunity to participate in this day of recognition in your child’s life.
FUNERALS
This is the last rite of passage in a person’s life and is the time that everyone comes together to pay their last respects to the person that has passed. Sometimes it involves a tiny baby, a small child, a young mother, a great, great grandparent. When death comes it does not discriminate against age, wealth or beauty yet it is something that will affect us all at some stage in our lives.
The remaining loved ones are provided with a fitting ceremony as they farewell this special person that entered their lives leaving their imprint for an eternity. Family may choose a celebrant to conduct the ceremony because the person was not one to attend church on a regular basis and therefore a church service would not be a true reflection of their desire. However family may like include a spiritual touch to the ceremony or a ritual that has significance.
